Burning Question from a Mother Slowly Going Stir Crazy

If February is the shortest month of the year,
why does it feel so darn loooooooooooooong?

Does anyone else share my misery?

It seems so long because midwest winters make movies like the Shining possible- strong hearty winters locking people in their dwellings and cabin fever creeping in day by day.

On the bright side, I'm sure if we were in Florida or Hawaii 12 months out of the year, a general malaise in activity from persistent high temperatures would make this time of year still seem long (a stretch, but believing it helps us feel better about our arctic weather).

Also, perception is twisted by the enduring cold- it will make an otherwise sane man drive in freezing rain late at night to get home.

I miss and love you!
